eLetters: The Gospel according to Tancredo

Wow, as if any Republican has any credibility to opine on anything regarding any policy this country considers any more. Republicans-the folks that brought you Bush/Cheney and co.
  • Christopher · 2 years ago
I have one great reason, they are not Republicans. How about this one, there is no way that Hillary or Barack could do worse than George Bush.
  • Pamela Williams · 1 year ago
I don't think Tom would have made a good President, but, I do believe he would of been a heck of a Vice-President. He never waivered when it came to how he felt about any given issue, which I can not say FOR ANY of the other candidates, who have done nothing but waiver. If Clinton, Obama, Mc Cain, and etc. do get into that office, say GOODBYE to America as we know it. We will probably most likely be singing a Mexican National Anthem and living in proverty.

Do the Republicans have a great field of candidates? I think not. I also predict that Tancredo's assesment and your "prediction" will both be proved wrong in less than a year.

I predict that Tancredo's assesment and your "prediction" will be proven entirely wrong ong in less than a year.

I disagree! It would really depend on who the GOP runs. So why don't you guys run MITT or HUCK
and see what happens to you. I am not a great fan of Mrs Clinton but anyone would be better
then another NEO-CON warmonger. All you guy's told us how great W was going to be and look
how that has turned out for us. Now don't start your we're at war stuff. IRAQ is the biggest
military blunder in the history of this great country. Do you expect us to forget that? And the
America I grew up in should never employ waterboarding! So unless the Dem's are complete
fools you guys are out of business! They should be IMPEACHED! You hear that Democrats!

Here's one reason for voting for Barack or Hillary. They will be running against a Republican candidate who promises to continue the disastrous policies of George Bush, in contravention to the expressed will of the American people.
  • Campbell · 1 year ago
Actually, Barack and Hillary and McCain will continue the disastrous polices of the Bush administration of a globalist, open border anti-American worker, anti-American community philosophy. Chinese anyone?
  • WoollyB · 1 year ago
Oh yeah, Ronnie Reagan paid his dues as a shill for General Electric and the reactionary Governor of California. His wisdom and experience brought us Iran-Contra, impeachable offenses a patient American public forgave their dozing and forgetful Grandpa for.
Oh yeah, George W., there's a guy who was so much more qualified. AWOL from military service. Bankrupt businessman. Far more unredeemed nepotism than Hillary. This is the guy who doesn't spend any time thinking about getting the guy who murdered three thousand Americans because he's too busy vetoing stem cell research and figuring out how to lose another nine billion dollars of unaccounted taxpayer money in Iraq.
Yeah, let's have a few more qualified Republicans like Reagan and Bush in the White House. Then we'll be so totally bankrupt and discredited in the world that our children will voluntarily sing "O Canada" and try to buy all the now-made-in-China consumer goods with the peso.

"Now we all know that Tancredo isn’t afraid of making controversial statements. He is (after all) the same guy who advocated bombing the holy sites if there’s another terrorist attack on American soil."

Actually Tom said that he took nothing off the table.. the reporter said like what? Tom said "Like Mecca"...

In defense of this country maybe a lot of Americans wouldn't say that. It breaks the P.C. code.. but in the real world where real people die, nothing should be taken off the table to survive with freedom..

    Whatever it takes....

ewww are these divisive words. I must work on that...

So how many cities in America are bombed before we bomb the Vatican? Ooops.. Mecca.. sorry.. didn't want to get everyone upset.....

I wonder if he said that how much of a cry it would be? Did the Germans bomb the Vatican? What cities in Germany were spared.. would the Jeruselum wall be protected too? Or is that "just the jews".. how about the millions of people in New York City...

How much is enough before we stop dreaming and making arguments where there should be none... we do what it takes....

Frankly, I am proud of the job Tom Tancredo has done in Congress to protect us from Mexico's demographic invasion. I am also proud of President Bush and Vice President Cheney. If Al Gore or John Kerry had been president, all they would have done was insure the invaders registered to vote as Democrats. Why do Democrats believe that the more poor people we have in America the more Democrats we will have? What happened to our middle class? It got richer and moved up. What happened to our poor? Some have joined the middle class. What the census results never tell us is who the poor are, where they arae, why they are poor, and how long they are "poor" before they move up to the "middle" class. Since Americans are doing better in the Bush economy, Democrats must replace them with a new group of "poor" and then slime Bush and Cheney.

I thought your comment on Obama needing to "pay his dues" very interesting. Why would that be important? If we have the chance to elect (for a change) an intelligent and principled individual to our highest office, what else could possibly matter? A president doesn't have to know everything, just make sound moral decisions based on the advise of the best people he can find. In fact, the last 8 years have demonstrated that even an idiot who has failed at everything he has ever set his hands to can run our country! I'll take intelligence and principals over due paying.

Tancredo is a joke. He is on the wrong side of both history and demographics. And Republicans, with their racist rhetoric, have already made sure they won't win another election in a decade. Racism always loses in America!

"These two people have done nothing to warrant such an appointment from the American people."

well, I can't really see what G'Dub has/had or will do to ever warrant or justify his position as president, either..and yet, here we are.
