Can science fully explain the complexity of life?
But Mr. Limbaugh has far better ideas for improving America than any liberal does. (including Pelosi).
Bigger government and higher taxes is NOT the solution.
When I read this statement I thought you were talking about Obama, because it is more fitting of him then it is to Rush Limbaugh. You talk about the wrongs done by past-administration, well here is a news flash for you, Obama has none more harm to this country in the last couple of weeks then "past- administrations" did in eight years.
If and when Obama wants to actually take measures to correct the problem you let me know and I will work together with you and the Democrats. However if you expect any rational person to sit back and watch Obama, Pelosi and Reid turn the country is some third world socialist state, you are dead wrong. With the path Pelosi and Reid has put us on, you can expect even more resistance from freedom loving US citizens. I hardly would call what is taking place is a adversarial waste of energy.
In a word, NO. As conservatives we disagree with almost every domestic policy that Pres Obama proposes. We will not go along to get along when it contradicts our very ideology. I doubt very much that you would be so agreeable to do the same if you were asked to, so why do you expect that of conservatives? Probably because you think conservatives are simply wrong, mean, hateful, and shallow if we were to easily throw out our core beliefs about morality, fiscal responsibility, and how this country should be led and managed.
BTW - Rush is a self-proclaimed CONSERVATIVE. Not a self-proclaimed Republican. Though they share many of the same beliefs, they are not always one and the same. 20 MILLION Americans listen to Rush weekly and you dismiss this as shameful as well as attacking him personally. Very liberated and tolerant of you. I don't always agree with him but he is right more often than he is wrong and his MO has been copied by the worst of the left-wing stars and they have failed - Al Franken, Randi Rhodes, and the whole Air America venture was built on the Rush model. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.
I've been a Limbaugh fan for many years, but I'm not quite sure how I have been played like a violin. He is not just an entertainer, although his show is often entertaining. Rush puts power behind what a great number of people in the United States think and feel. We aren't being programmed by a super-powered radio host, but listen to Rush and other similar shows because they speak about things that are important to us. We have no voice as powerful as the left with their public education, colleges, newspapers, television news, magazines and unfortunately now their government.
Yes, we are fired up, but not because Limbaugh is "fueling" us. We are outraged at the way the foundations of our country are being torn down at an alarming rate and most of us feel powerless to do anything about it. We are also outraged at the way the left-people like Sue-have been raging a war against American ideals and our conservative leaders with irrational, ad-hominem attacks. When they can't attack our ideas, they go after drug-use or college transcripts. That is "shameless."
Finally, Ms. Cole has to bash our former president. The left love to speak of a lying George W Bush, but rarely have any facts to back up their assertions. I would agree that there have been "past-adminstration wrongs": Taking "desperate measures" to fix the problems caused by the wrongs of the last 70 years. Bailing out banks, auto companies, unlucky or unworthy homeowners.
The Bush administration did a knock-up job of caving in to the frenzied masses and media-induced panic. Instead of letting the system work, which means people and businesses would have to fail (the horror), they chose to try shoring up the system, which only delays failure. Those wrongs have been dwarfed by the colossally irresponsible actions of our Democratic Congress and President Obama in just these last few weeks. Commusism, Socialism and the New Deal have been tried and have failed, but here we go again.
I must take issue with your assertion that Rush Limbaugh is running the republican party. He is not now, nor has he ever been the head of the RNC. That duty was performed by Ken Blackwell, until just last month when we elected Michael Steele to replace Blackwell.
Rush is a talk radio host mind you. And I really take offense at your accusation of us being intimidated by an ex-drug user.
Madame, let me refresh your memory as it seems to have slipped your mind somewhere. Rush had a problem with prescription drugs, he sought the proper help and defeated his addiction to prescription meds. Now, on the other hand people of your political persuasion just elected an admitted Illegal Drug User the the highest office in the land.
Or is it OK with you that Obama is an admitted Cocaine Snorter and Pot Smoker (oh, yes and booze helped some). You madame are a classic Hypocrite. I would remind you to get facts straight before making wild accusations.

"MIAMI, April 28, 2006-- Talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh surrendered to authorities Friday on a charge of committing fraud to obtain prescription drugs, concluding an investigation that for more than two years has hovered over the law-and-order conservative.
The charge will be dropped in 18 months, said his attorney, Roy Black, provided that Limbaugh continues treatment for drug addiction, as he has for 2 1/2 years. According to an agreement with the Palm Beach County state's attorney's office, Limbaugh also must pay $30,000 to defray the costs of the investigation, as well as $30 a month for his supervision."
http://www.iht.com/articles/2006/10/24/news/dem... :
"Obama had written in his first book, "Dreams From My Father" (1995), before entering politics, that he had used marijuana and cocaine ("maybe a little blow"). He said he had not tried heroin because he did not like the pusher who was trying to sell it to him.
"In an interview here at a meeting of the American Society of Magazine Editors, Obama said he was not making light of the subject.
"It was reflective of the struggles and confusion of a teenage boy," he said. "Teenage boys are frequently confused."
Limbaugh was fifty-two years old when, as a result of a criminal investigation, admitted he was addicted to OxyContin, or as Kathy might say, admitted that he was a Opiate Addict.
Sue Cole aptly describes the kind of person Limbaugh is, as confirmed by the head of the Republican party, and aptly notes how that head, and others who were temporarily honest, had to genuflect before Limbaugh.
